I unleashed the power of Notion and Notion AI. Have you?

Hey everyone, a few months ago, I stumbled onto Notion, and unlocked the power of Notion. I was originally looking for Product Development tools, and also looking to be more productive and organized in my life. I joined Notion and have been using it for several months now. I haven’t used it much for work due to the nature of our business, but I’m extensively using it for organizing my personal life. I’ve only recently started to scratch the surface of its power and capability. As someone who loves organization, productivity, and systems development, Notion has been amazing!

First of all, if you have never heard of Notion, that’s cool, I hadn’t either. Click on the links or pictures throughout the article to check it out.

I’m now able to organize content and ideas more efficiently, build Notion websites, capture thoughts, links, websites and more. The opportunities with it are endless.

Let me share why I think Notion and Notion AI are must-have assets for working professionals such as myself, trying to juggle personal and professional tasks and activities.

The Notion Advantage

Notion isn’t just another productivity app; it’s a comprehensive workspace that adapts to your needs. Notion is super flexible, it can be used by Teams, Individuals, Students, Creators, Teachers and more.

My daughter just went off to college, and I recommended she check out Notion to help her organize her schoolwork. Notion is great for Students!

Here’s why I think Notion stands out:

• All-in-One Solution: Notion combines notes, databases, wikis, and project management tools into a single, intuitive platform. Say goodbye to juggling multiple apps.

• Automation: Notion has the ability to use databases within the application and setup automations with applications like Zapier and Make. I’ve barely begun to scratch the surface of this one, but when I do, watch out!

Getting Started

Explore Templates: Notion offers a wealth of pre-built templates for various use cases. Start with these and customize as needed. The templates have been super helpful in getting content on my Notion Pages pretty quickly. Organize different facets of your life easily, whether it’s Family, Work, School, or Life in general.

This is one of my favorite aspects of Notion, allowing me to organize and build my content quickly and efficiently. Those of you who know me know that I love building systems.

Start Small: Begin with personal task management or note-taking, then gradually expand to more complex workflows. You have to start small; your Notion account will probably be a mess to start with as you get going, creating pages, tasks, documents, projects, etc… Then you’ll realize you need to start organizing the content.

Leverage AI: Experiment with Notion AI for content creation, summarization, and ideation to boost your productivity.

The integrated AI aspect of Notion is often, as I can build straight in Notion without going to ChatGPT, CoPilot, or Perplexity. If you don’t know what those are, DM me and we can chat.

Collaborate: Invite team members and start collaborating on shared projects and documents. This is a great feature as well if you want others to collaborate on work. This is also good for family members in sharing information seamlessly.

Continuous Learning: Take advantage of Notion’s extensive documentation and community resources to master advanced features. As a Continuous Improvement

What’s the Hook Rob?

There’s no hook with Notion. It is FREE to sign up and use. There a few different plan levels available (Free, Plus, Business and Enterprise) and I personally use the Plus Membership. I used the FREE membership for about 5 months before switching over, as there were some features including the custom websites and unlimited file uploads that I wanted with the Plus Membership.

Here’s an image of the Pricing Structure. If you are interested in the Notion AI, it will add $8/month to any of the subscriptions. Note that there is a 20% discount if you pay yearly vs. Monthly.

My Summary and thoughts

If you haven’t figured it out already, I love Notion! I know there are a ton of products out there, but I’m finding that I’ve stuck with Notion. Organization, flexibility, creativity, it offers it all. While I can’t say I use it much for my day job, I do use it in my personal life to organize side hustle ideas, personal tasks and other information. It has been a Game Changer!
